Our PiP Boxes
We have a range of PiP boxes, padded envelopes and postal cartons that are ideal to use as Pricing in Proportion packaging. They are all supplied flat-packed for convenient use and easy storage.
There are 6 sizes of our padded envelopes and 7 of our bubble lined envelopes that fit in the Large Letter category, as well as one white postal carton while the larger sizes go into the Small Parcel class. For other Small Parcel postal solutions we have white postal boxes (4 sizes), foam-lined postage boxes (3 sizes) and 10 sizes of our convenient standard single wall cardboard box including our L96 single wall postal carton which is to Royal Mail's maximum small parcel size.
Our PiP boxes and packaging for the Medium Parcel category includes our bubble-lined or padded envelopes, our book mailing boxes and of course a choice of differently sized single wall cardboard boxes and strong double wall boxes.
Our wide range of cardboard boxes is perfect for posting bulkier items in the Medium Parcel category while conforming to the Royal Mail Pricing in proportion boxes specifications.

Tips for using the PiP system
For instance, you could save money on a direct mail marketing shot by posting it in a postal product conforming to the Large Letter requirement – one of our padded envelopes – rather than the Small Parcel. It is also cheaper to post an A4 document by folding it into an A5 rather than A4 size envelope (Letter as opposed to Large Letter).
Why Royal Mail have changed to PiP
Before the introduction of the PiP system, Royal Mail realised there were often discrepancies in the cost of mailing goods. It was thought that the amount of postage paid – based on weight – did not necessarily reflect the cost of handling and sorting items such as large letters and different sizes of postal carton. Postage was low on light, large items but high on heavy, smaller ones.
